Originating in the Soviet Union in the early 1960’s, this sniper rifle was developed to extend the range of squads that were equipped with the AK-47. Snayperskaya Vinyovka Drugunov , Russian for Drugunov sniper rifle, was named after its lead designer. The SVD remains active today and is widely used by Soviet and Eastern European troops.
Our miniature Snayperskaya Vinyovka Drugunov (SVD) toy model is 1:3 scale made entirely of die cast metal, with a wood-grain metal stock. Build it yourself with our easy to follow instructions and enjoy all the features that this little model has to offer. You can view through the scope, the trigger pulls and the bolt functions. It has a metal magazine with a functioning magazine release, adjustable bipod, and a selector switch. It also includes 3 dummy rounds.
