Description
The curved surfaces of the Sugarloaf style Great Helm made it difficult for an opponent to land the full force of a strike onto the helmet - its rounded surfaces could better deflect and absorb force than a flat-topped helmet. This Sugarloaf Great Helm is constructed from 18 gauge steel and is emblazoned with a cross of riveted brass. The interior is unlined and blackened - included is a padded cotton arming cap which can be worn beneath the helmet for comfort and cushioning.
