Single-Edged Gladius

A unique Gladius, this sword has substituted the standard double-edged blade for a single-edged blade with a particularly acute tip and a thick spine. It is an ideal form for a rigid blade designed to pierce mail armor. The blade is of high carbon steel and it is mounted into a wooden hilt and finished with a brass pommel nut.

The sword is paired with a wooden scabbard which is overlaid in tight, quality leather and completed with brass fittings and brass hanging rings.
