This 2nd Century Roman Spatha has a long and wide blade of high carbon steel which is durably mounted into a wooden hilt with brass accents. Included with the sword is a wooden scabbard which is tightly wrapped in stitched high quality leather and finished with brass embellishment and hardware. The protective round chape piece on the end is etched on both sides with differing design and integrated onto the scabbard is a brass suspension loop which can be used in conjunction with your own baldric or sword belt to wear the sword by fitting the leather strap of the belt or baldric through the brass sling on the scabbard.
