Ikeda Matsu Katana

Ikeda katanas are some of the finest on the market and our Black Hands Katana is no exception. Never mass produced, each katana is hand-forged in a Japanese studio based in China. Every piece is carefully hand-crafted and each blade is forged using traditional techniques from 1055 high carbon steel.

The saya of this sword is finished in a black lacquer with a black cotton sageo. Each tsuka features real wood wrapped with only the finest tsukaito matierals. Each blade is topped with a brass habaki and a square tsuba. Clasping hands accentuate the tsuba and a gold menuki finishes the look.
