British Royal Navy Dress Saber with white faux rayskin grip

This Royal Navy Dress Saber is the current model used for dress, ceremony and military gifts. The blade is 1065 high carbon steel and it is thoroughly embellished with etching on both sides of the blade with the symbols and regalia of the British Royal Navy.

The hilt is brass and features a hinged side panel on the guard which can lock onto the scabbard with a peg - a feature which not only makes the sword more comfortable when worn close to the body, but also secures the sword in its scabbard during a gale at sea. The grip is faux rayskin coupled with bands of fine brass wire.

Included with the sword is a scabbard of leather with brass accenting and brass hanging rings.
